That is true. No more overnights, all day trips, cutting service to PBI and all gate agents lost their overtime pay and sick days.

The end is near, or major change, and as expected the employees and their families are the last to know.

I think silver will flounder around for at least another two years at least. It's amazing how long struggling places keep going. Look at Great Lakes and sun air. If I had to guess, silver is going to cut more and more benefits for passengers and employees and possibly routes over the next year. Hate to agree but I don't see any good future. No new planes, no new routes, and certainly no new benefits....

It's the employees that will keep it going. There will simply be those who live in Florida and like being home every night. I think the real end will come though once there will be nobody willing to sit in the right seat next to the senior guys. Unless they go to co-captains.

It is a great bunch of employees, an no way it makes a couple years.

They're losing pilots to LCC's and cargo outfits. They're not bringing new people in at a rate to replace them. Company pilot count went from 235 a year ago to 185 now. It's not looking good.

More than one regional is hiring DECs right now... There is no excuse to stay at a sinking ship.

I now hear that Silver is giving up 2-5 planes in Florida. I think they are leased planes they are giving back. That's still a large chunk of Silvers aircraft.

I remember when they closed the multiple bases and reduced flying out of IAD to increase flying and expand more from Florida last year. I felt it was painful but logical re-configuring needed to make the company more profitable and therefore increase qol for our employees. Like someone said earlier, I think management has lost its way. I don't know all the economics behind so many adjustments to the operations, but so many constant changes and adjustments is now hurting us. Opening and closes other bases, routes and parking airplanes, are not positive signs I thought I would have being seen by this point time, since these changes initiated last year.
For everyone and their families who work here and hope things stabilize by the end of the year or I reckon the attrition is going to sky rocket by the end of the summer.
