Looking at Silver for potential employment. I’ll be a new guy to the 121 world and wanted to get some feedback from present or former employees. I’m a Florida guy, and place more importance on minimizing my commute and work relationships over money, flow, and jets.
1. Is Silver improving and growing as a company? (Lease Order of 20 atr’s seems to be a good sign)
2. Do they work well with military reservists?
3. From date of hire, how long before training starts?
4. Would you recommend it, or choose a larger regional?

1. I believe once the ATRs get on property things will improve. Right now that’s all they are focused on.
2. They work well with the reservist. Only ever heard a few complain and it’s because they were always giving orders at the last minute.
3. The day you start training is your date of hire. Plan 2-3 months from beginning of training to completion of IOE
4. If you live in Florida and don’t want the commute it’s a excellent option. We have a fast upgrade just like any other regional. The pay isn’t the greatest but we are hoping once we get a new contract that it will also improve

Anyone outside of the immediate area will probably not be interested. It's only commutable from places that have domiciles for jet regionals that pay much more. Also not commutable from Florida.
