What are the new rates? Is Corvus getting a pay cut too?

CP got hired at Alaska, DO moved to the 121 side of the operation. Essentially the guarantee on the 135 side of the operation went from 75 to 68.5 ..

Corvus FO's went from 50hr to 60hr starting. 2$ increase per year remains the same. guarantee went from 75 to 70. every hour over 75 is paid at x1.25 open time still remains at 1.5..

15k bonus is paid in increments of every 6 months starting in September.

So it’s a guarantee cut and not necessarily a pay cut?

So $240/day now? What about Caravan pilots? It’s hard enough to keep pilots in sleds these days...

A buddy of mine just upgraded to the caravan from a sled and said he's basically taking a $3/day pay cut between what he was making in the sled to what he'll be making in the van.

Thats too bad, I thought Erin did as good a job as CP as anyone could do given the culture up there. I didn't stick around for too long, but I had quite a few interactions with her while I was there and she was always very up front and had our backs as pilots. AS got a good one!

Really interested in a sic position with the company. Was told that I would get hired into the right seat of the van and that company housing is provided while on shift (2 on, 2 off schedule). Any truth to this?

Also, what are sled pilots?

Thanks!

The sled is the C207, typically the PIC position you would upgrade to after starting as an SIC in the van or the B1900.

Sled PICs go from $304/day (which accounts for the housing bonus pay) to $261/day.

Guarantee goes down to 68.5, so they say it's easier to get overtime pay and make the same amount of money, but sleds don't even hit 60hrs/month with the new restrictive VFR policy, so this lower guarantee is an outright pay cut. If they thought we'd make the same amount of money, why would they change the payscales?

Most of our sled PICs don't qualify for the $15k retention bonus, either. Personally, I'm losing $7,900 per year (~14% of annual compensation).

There's no reason to stick around past 1500 anymore.
