I take it you have never lived in the Bay Area:

Even commuting from Concord, Vacaville, and Fairfield (assuming they haven’t burned down) is going to be pricey.

I was told in the interview that there were a couple people commuting from the Sierras and Reno and read here a while back one commuting from Hawaii so was hoping any of them might chime in.

No, they are being spread out among the stations from what I understand. They do their best to put new hires Where it would be easiest for them to commute in. However, that may not always be the case. We have guys that live in Colorado and commute in to their Vegas base. All depends

How much can a new hire FO expect to block in a given month in klas? Is there an official swap or trade board? Mostly just curious how much available flying there is to be had on days off if ones willing to pick up. TIA

To be fair those eagle and UAX ERJs they use at the regionals are held up by speed tape and the dirt they’ve accumulated over the years. Not a pleasant ride.

Question about the pay. I understand if you’re sub-1,500 hours you make $170 per day. Does that automatically increase to $259 per day once you reach 1,500 hours or do you have to wait until recurrent training or something like that?

Thanks again.
