What’s the timeline from interview until start of training (assuming interview goes well and you accept the position)?

Is it advisable to apply before hitting the hiring minimums like a regional airline? Or to wait until 1200 to apply?

I emailed their recruiter on LinkedIn and she said that you can get an interview at 1000TT IF you have 25 ME hours. 1200 if you have your ME but are working on hours.

Hope that helps.

Are they home-based?? I thought they were but their job listings all seem to be for a specific place??

I flew fractional 20 years ago (Raytheon Travel Air, with BE400 type) before getting on with NWA just in time for the long-term post-9/11 furlough, and been flying a government desk ever since. Considering getting back in the saddle for a late career move back to flying. I really enjoyed the fractional flying, but found that schedule rough, especially with small kids at home at that time. The kids are grown now, but that 8-6 at WU sounds really tough. I assume they fly you to your plane on day one. Are they pretty good at getting you home on day 8?

I would look long and hard at many other operators before WU. They were way down on my list (even below XO…). Fly Exclusive has good people, Fly Alliance, Flexjet are who I was focusing on when I started my job search. XO was at the top of my list but that was pre-Vista acquisition.

Shoot me a private message and I’ll be happy to share my experiences and what I’ve learned during my job search.

Yes, for any airport with airline service.

Some of the jobs are in specific locations because they are managed airplane/airplanes.

Yes. If you end up having travel issues, it just means you’re getting paid for your delays getting home day 8 or 9. The extra money is well worth the time.

Let’s not forget FlyExclusive also furloughed office staff right before the holidays. If that’s your idea of good people… Go for it!

I was referring to the pilots I know. But, given the heinous behavior by various airline and corporate operators over the past 30 or so years, this is more “par for the course” than “torches and pitchforks”.
