Props for sticking it out for peak, your run doesn't sound fun, I don't want to be sent to cover it!

Today wasn't bad, I will have 7 hours with the fam. I still think we are all worth more. Some days are not too bad, some days are awful. Working a 2nd job to make the bills does add a lot of stress. 16 weeks to go, but who's counting? Reminds me of deployment!

New pay scale is out. Looks like it's basically the 4 month bonuses rolled into the monthly paychecks. No big raise, but it makes sure everyone is getting that 44K number. Bigger 2 week checks means easier to pay the bills, which is a win in my book. Seems like there are some good things starting to happen up top, let's hope it continues.

I never had a Wendy's job that gave me a 10 hour break in the middle of my day to go do whatever I wanted.

I get your point, and I'm not sure what base your at, but for the 18 months I was out stationed based, I hardly felt like I was truly on duty that whole time. Instead it felt like, show up, work for 3ish hours, go home, take a nap, watch tv, go fishing, whatever, back to work for 3 hours, go eat Mexican food with the gang, watch tv, fall asleep, rinse and repeat. Not bad at all.

It's all in the mindset. FORTUNATELY, my mindset is that of a young guy with no wife or kids yet, so it's all fun and games to me :-D

Very good post. If you can enjoy your layover it will go a long way with this job.

Nov 15th

I thought it was April.

A good change! I would have waited till after peak to cash out the remainder of that bonus...but oh well.

While this technically isn't a "raise" it will create an increased rate for things like specials, extra units, and T pay.

A good move for sure.

Exactly, not a big raise, but it will have an impact like you said. I also would have cashed out after peak...

Would Ameriflight take part time guys? I have a crap load of time off, and I know they're costantly short here in ABQ. I can use Multi time too.
