Part 107 Certified? Welcome Aboard!

Ameriflight partners with UAV start-up Natilus to bring unmanned cargo aircraft into the market.

Interesting quote from the company themselves: "Natilus aims to address pilot shortages using its autonomous technologies."

Anyone know if Ameriflight participates in DoD Skillbridge for pilots looking to build more time?

That doesn’t look like it can fly.

What are your thoughts on Ameriflight given the current state of the industry. I’m not too far from 1200. Single pilot cargo IFR flying seems like killer experience. Then again 1500 isn’t too far from that.

How long is the contract? If it’s not too long I might consider it.

So if low time pilot gigs, such as AMF, become more rare due to automation, how are pilots supposed to build hours to get to the airlines, something that likely will not be automated in the foreseeable future?

Airlines will adapt to the MPL format, sponsoring young pilots and subsidizing their training, offering an FO slot in 737 or A320 (or possibly CRJ) airframes with 200 hours.

Of course, the ATP would need to be modified.

Housing in BQN Puerto Rico

Former Amflight pilot and currently flying for Brown. I live in Aguadilla, PR (BQN) about 1 mile from the airport and my neighbor has two beautiful apartments 1 and 2 bedroom for rent. Great location for pilot based in BQN, great neighborhood and 5 minutes from Ameriflight. If you are anyone you know is interested PM. Thanks!

Will they hire off the street for Saab F/O? I meet the mins for BE99 Captain but would rather get into the Saab operation if possible, even though it would be SIC vs PIC.

You’d choose FO pay over CA? Also, SICs typically upgrade to captain in the 99. You won’t necessarily upgrade in the Saab.

I loved the BQN side of the island as opposed to the SJU side when I flew down there.
