that's awesome! Airnet is where i plan on going. i've only got like 290TT and 120ME. granted i'm going to have to instruct soon, but if 520 is competitive, that makes me feel a lot better. i was thinking it would be more like 800-900. have you done that familiarization flight yet? on mine we flew out of BNA to SDF to LCK and then back to SDF and BNA in the navajo. it was pretty sweet. 180kts gs, autopilot, gps. not a bad way to fly if you ask me.

Im kinda on the edge, I really want to start working for the airlines. But the experience with Airnet would be great, and I could always go back and work for PSA. Affraid of getting in a contract and then PSA calls a class date and Im locked in at Airnet . Dang Contract.

Lucas, Who do you contact for a familiarization flight?

I talked with Walter Robinson. He's one of the pilot recruiters. Seems like a nice guy to talk to on the phone, obviously since he wants you to fly for them. The pilot I flew along with was extremely knowledgeable and the aircraft, although not the prettiest, is very well maintained. When the aircraft arrive at the Airnet base at LCK, a maintenence person comes and inspects the aircraft for anything out of the ordinary. If something is broken, it is fixed on the spot. If I remember right, they also do their 100 hour inspections something like every 50 hours I believe. I was extremely impressed.

Besides if you fly for Airnet as a prop captain, you'd be making more money and getting more hours than if you were at PSA anyways, on reserve no less!

Plus you're home every night......er morning rather! I worked for a small 135, but we were home 95% of the time or better.

The more I think about it, the more I want to be a part of it! I'm going to call and see if I can arrange a FAM flight.

Got a call today for a phone interview. Turned into an arrangement for a FAM flight Thursday out of Cincinnati. I have to call back on Friday to finish the phone interview. Sounds like a great company
