I'm on the outside looking in. But, as far as I know they are Cass approved. Expect 35 hour weeks, with anywhere from 3,4 and 5 day trips. THis is all from what I have researched. flycapeair.com is pretty helpful...

Default Cape Air "junk" email

I just received this email from Cape Air.

Dear*********,

We at Cape Air appreciate and value your interest for future employment with our organization. Thank you for applying. We received your application on January 27, 2009. Your resume and application will be reviewed in the coming weeks and remain on file for one year.

Thank you again for your interest in Cape Air!

Sincerely,

It means what it says it means... If you got rejected it would say thanks but no thanks... from being on property now, we are sooo overstaffed, but Cape Air always has a high turnover rate so they'll continue to interview. Just be patient...

We are in CASS
35 hour a week min guarantee in the NE, some line are worth more
Some of the NE bases/schedules are commutable

I think that their email provider put it in the JUNK (ie. spam) folder. That's happened to me a few times with Gmail. More than once I haven't received a response from a company, and when I call to follow up I get "Oh, you have Gmail? Let me check the JUNK folder. Oh yeah, here it is."

I wouldn't get worked up about it. I'm sure that they don't think you are junk.

Here's a question... Captain minimums are 1500, but Cape is Part 135. So does that mean once you hit 1200 and take a 135 PIC ride, can you log PIC on your legs?

I'm assuming yes?

OT, but I just set up a gmail account after being told it is the best for resume sending to company's because it rarely gets filtered as spam. Have you had a lot of trouble?

I would say no. 135.243(a) states that the Pilot in Command of a multi-engine aircraft engaged in a Passenger Carrying commuter operation (as defined under Part 119) must hold an ATP with appropriate category, class and type.

Cape Air falls under the Part 119 Commuter definition and therefore, with passengers on board, you would have to hold an ATP to log it as PIC. Thats where the 1500 TT Captain requirement for the passenger operations comes from.
