Default Aviation Company Blacklist for Pilot Protection

Hey there,

I will never forget the Citation operator that I interviewed with several years ago. They were the biggest gaggle of pimps I had ever seen and every pilot was viewed as a ***** willing to kiss their greedy rears for a jet job. It made me sick to my stomach how low class these people were.

What would this group think of putting together a black list of aviation companies to avoid working for that exploit pilots and try to get them to work for free like this one is doing. It makes me sick to be honest.

Much adoo is given to getting the interview and job. I think there needs to be a place where you can go to research the companies to avoid working for. This is a Trade and Profession. Not a hobby as some of these idiots want you to think.

Peace,

IW

I've been through three of those "valuable 135 ride" experiences. Peruse your op/spec, know the aircraft, and be up on the 135 FARs and you're golden. Two weeks of study is waaaay over board if you're a good CFI. Billing you for it is nothing short of criminal.

You should in no way take that "job". It makes me sick that people will do it behind you.

The day we, as a group, stop whoring ourselves out for something shiny is the day we finally get some respect.

Way to be.

My Advice: Hold out, collect unemployment if you have to and wait for the industry to turn around when they are desperate to find decent pilots to fly their airplane or wait until someone is willing to PAY you.

You can always get your jet time when the regionals lower their mins to Commercial Certificate.
