Default Inerview gouge

Hello everyone, my first post and glad to be on board.

I have an upcoming interview with AAR and was hoping anyone could share any recent interview experiences as well as tests, sim evaluations, etc.

I don't believe my interview was very conventional with the typical AAR interview.

I was sick on the day I was supposed to interview but was brought in last week by myself to interview. I understand they had around 30 people on the day I was originally supposed to interview. Luckily I was given a verbal offer and expect a written offer in the mail some time this week!

So jealous... I met one of their pilots a few years back while flying freight in the caribbean. They guy had flown for Caribbean Star... wasn't able to stay in contact... and thus haven't had any luck getting on board in the past or now. I guess I will just keep hoping to get lucky one of these days. Best of luck Jeff!

What does one need to study up on for an interview at a place like AAR? Will they do a sim? What kind of questions do they ask?

Default Blackwater response,..

To the Pilot asking about Blackwater Aviation,

I called Blackwater on the phone one day and asked for the
Chief Pilot,.. and they transferred me. Very straight forward no
bs guy. He said that he looks for pilots that have
dead reckoning pilotage experience,..ie finding things and
destinations that a GPS can't, and very solid stick an rudder skills
to be able to land on dirt strips when necessary.
He also said having "Alaskan Flight time" on your resume is a big plus.
I think he was a former Alaskan pilot.

Just google Blackwater aviation call an ask for numbers. It's a bit
of a controversial contractor these days. But it's well know that
companies like that pay really well. Would probably be challenging
and dangerous, but hey that's just all the more stories you'll have to
tell when yr on old grandpa right? :-) Good luck to you-

P.S. Life is boring without some kind of risk,... throw off the reins and set sail, before you run out of time.
