I applied to Surf Air about a week ago. I have about 630TT, and about 360ish is multi turbine time. Is this competitive enough to get an interview? Is Surf Air currently hiring?

Default Street Captains?

Would anyone mind sharing how the "street captain" program works? Also what is the starting hourly for captains and what does it top out at? (I tried a thread search, but to no avail. Thanks, all!

The street captains I believe need to have at least 2500 total time with previous 121/135 time. I'm not all that sure on the total time part of it but it's around that. Captains start at $60.76/hr on a 72 hr guarantee. 2nd year is $69, up $3/hr every year after. I don't think it's really published online anywhere. We don't have anything longer termed than that since the company is only coming up on its 3rd anniversary. Also since it's all day trips right now, there isn't any per diem.

Thanks! One more, please? Scheduling? 6 on, 6 off? Bid lines (what are they like?) On-call? Cheers!

scheduling varies from base to base, and of course also on seniority. For the most part they'll schedule you as if you live in base. Also when you bid for the month you'll fill in which days you want off and if you prefer AM or PM trips, that kinda stuff, and they'll try to accomidate your requests. So you might end up working 5 on 2 off if you want weekends off and max flying, or you could end up in more of a 4 or 5 on followed by 3 or 4 off. There's no set 5 on 5 off type of arrangement. Because it's all day trips right now, I don't see that changing. But if/when we get to the point where we start doing overnights, then I imagine it'll change.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but I heard today that SurfAir was going under. Any truth to this? I totally wanted to work for them!
