We still have a few seats for street CA class in late APR, early May class. If you have 2000TT and ATO, email Julian Cantu at:

Would someone with 510h have a chance at all? I already applied just in case, but just wondering.

Keep applying. I'd say send him your resume every 2 ish weeks after you initially apply until you hear back. Include a cover letter as well.

Also make sure you don't have any grammar mistakes on your resume. Julian is a stickler for grammatical mistakes. Plus if you can find a way to mention golf or baseball when you talk to Julian it might be good for you.

Julian is a guy, that'd be the first mistake if you called him a woman. Haha. [email protected]

How is Surf Air doing? Any new destinations? Scheduled flights increasing or decreasing? Adding new members? Still sticking to 800hrs TT for FO's?

Noticed that the pilot job posting is no longer up on SA's Career page.

Any updates or news on future hiring prospects?

Surf Air is now being operated by Encompass Aviation. While the majority of the transition is complete, new management is still getting their feet under them. Recruiting and hiring should resume very soon, and I think it would still be worth it to submit a resume if you are sub-800 hours.

What's this going to change for the pilots on the line, if anything?

That's interesting. Do you know any of the history that led to Encompass becoming the operator?
