Might want to be careful. From what I've heard the company recently announced that the King Air pilots will not be transitioning to any other equipment, not having any longevity pay increases, and the 6/3 is there to stay. This is despite almost everyone being hired under the impression of a different plan.

From what I've heard, it sounds like the program is creating 2 separate pilot groups, those who fly jets and those who fly props. If you weren't fortunate enough to be hired onto the "jet side" then there is little to no hope for a transition.

I would be perfectly fine flying a turbprop for 85k for the rest of my life, but not on that schedule. 5/5 would be much better.

There's obviously nothing wrong with 85K for your career if that's the kind of flying you want to do, but when it comes to comparing salary with the national and legacy airlines, you've got to look at the long term. If you can suck up the first year pay, it's pretty much a no-brainer from year two on (assuming you're okay with the airline thing - many aren't).
