What about it? The Cirrus SR.-22 is not the only piston single that meets those equipment requirements.

The question was posed as "single piston" as opposed to "SE piston", hence the "dangerously under-powered" reply with a . I know, I know. Too clever by 1/2.

I think there was a single-piston design from John Deere. The problem was that it required a massive flywheel, which made the airplane too heavy to take off.

Exactly! From what I hear, the piston/turboprop market in the NE is underserved. Then along came Wheels Up to fill the high end of the void. The problem I see is the cost of operation in New England. Every governor and mayor wants a piece of YOUR pie. "Business burned down? F$&k you, pay me." NY motto.
Makes operating a mirage as expensive as a citation. And the Mirage can't charge the same.

135.181 only mentions over-the-top restrictions for single engines, not IFR operations.
