No you need to scroll to the bottom of your application page and it will say something if you didn’t pass even though there is a green check mark. If you have the check mark AND it’s clear down then bottom then you’re good to go.

Where exactly do you see this? I haven't 'activated' my application yet; could that be why I see no mention of passing or failing the assessment?

I could 100% get behind a CA requirement to flow. If you sit for years and years as an FO and can't pass upgrade, should you be behind the controls of a much larger jet? I would argue not. You certainly wouldn't get hired if you didn't have the flow.
But that's neither here nor there. I don't think that's a thing the union has faced

It’s buried away at the bottom of a recent LOA. Only a very small group of people might potentially get hosed and as a result of that clause. They are the guard guys that took mil leave for multiple deployments as soon as they went through Indoc or initial IOE back in the 2016 hires (with the shortest projected flow time).
I’m not saying this with any ill intent or malice at all, one of my buddies is in this situation and he may well have pushed back his flow date unintentionally by a year.
By the time he comes back end of next year, does another long term, flys 1000 hours as a commuter, upgrades then does another year as CA he could’ve well and truly flowed over. All assuming he doesn’t get in OTS there or somewhere else prior.
