I think you all are forgetting that pdt and envoy mec have a close relationship and are working on this together...
People just need to let this play out instead getting an extra 200 dollars in their paycheck after taxes..

I stand with the union. Fix the issues, now. The new blood and Bruce are working together as they navigate this. They are communicating back n forth with their constituents, they’ve heard our demands. I’m all for letting them do their job. Finally feel like my dues are being put to good use.

Piedmont Airlines News & Rumors
I was hearing closer to 1k after taxes.
There is no precedent, this is a LOA, not a TA. We will get more eventually, let’s get what we can in the meantime, and laugh when our pilot number has shrunken mid summer, and be approached again.
The precedent says “give pilots more money, they will take it”. I’m ok with that precedent. If they want to be delusional about the results, so be it. Have faith in your leverage/situation, they will come back, and leverage will only grow.

Weird we elected new people in and they’ve made the rest of the union leadership listen up and alter the way they’ve operated and communicated with the pilot group. **** does in fact change. Need to get mngnt onboard now.

Aside from the F&H friends posting, Piedmont line pilots seem to be happy with how their union is handling things so far and are content to let the process work.
The take the money and run crowd don’t seem to have a vested interest in the good of the greater good of the pilot group as a whole. One is a self proclaimed friend of people in management, another has a resignation letter pending, there’s maybe a pre retirement gentleman looking to beef up his pension points and all but one of the rest don’t even work at Piedmont. The union reps won’t be getting many emails telling them to stop working on improvements for their pilot group. They certainly wont receive more than the overwhelming number of emails they got from the group seeking improvements.

True. The 2 mec's, NC's had something very very big in the works when Sam Pool became their MECC. I hope they are still working together and not like the time Sam's predecessor caused a LOT of problems for both airlines.

The difference is the higher pay at Republic doesn’t come from American. Republic has to eat those costs of raising pay. And Spirit has no one to farm their airbus flying out to. When you operate an airplane that can’t be farmed out you’ll finally have some leverage.
Piedmont is one of the smallest operators of about 9 regional carriers that fly for American. I would argue that even a larger carrier like Envoy or PSA doesn’t have any leverage. When you have 9 “contractors” to choose from, what do you think happens when one of them gets too expensive or tries to twist the master’s arm? I will bet my first born son that American will most certainly make an example out of Piedmont for Envoy and everyone else if they don’t get their way. It is the sole reason why regionals exist in the first place.... to keep costs low. And if that happens it won’t be the first time or the last time an airline has shown their wrath.
Even including piedmont the overall regional pilot staffing for all the American regional carriers is better now than it was in 2013. Literally HALF of PSA’s pilots are on reserve and there are other carriers not far behind.
The day any regional has any kind of leverage is the day that our flying finally starts transitioning to mainline. Today is not that day. Otherwise, what’s the point in having 9 different contractors?
American has at a minimum 3 other backup plans before they give you more than what’s already been offered. What kind of leverage will you have after they announce you’re being downsized or merged with someone else? Or they fill new hire classes anyway by just upping the bonuses by another 10k-20k?
You guys are thinking short term. American is thinking long term, what’s cheapest overall, and is about 4 steps ahead of you.
