Anyone know how many NH FOs from the Jan class are still waiting on SOE? or how long the average wait time from LOE to SOE currently is? Thanks

How long will a new hire have to be on reserve? Has the time gone down considering the training backlog?

When you get signed off from SOE they usually assign you reserve days until you can bid for a line. So it could be two weeks or 6, or even less all depending on your timing. I sat a total of 8 days of reserve and then was handed a line for the following month. No crash pad required... So far.

Sounding better all the time. I'm considering making the jump from 135 to 121. It'll be a pay cut, but in the long run the longevity of 121 looks better than staying where I am.

Yeah a lot of new guys seem to be confused about the whole "no reserve" thing. If you finish SOE just after a bid period ends, you're gonna be given a reserve schedule until you have a chance to bid for a line for the next month. Sometimes they build you a line, sometimes they give you reserve. But this is not the same thing as the reserve everyone is talking about. With true reserve, you bid for a reserve line.... But it's funny to watch new hires complain about three weeks of reserve to '07 hires who sat reserve for four years as an FO

DISCLAIMER I'm not a 121 pilot. I come bearing experience from 91K & 135. SO I don't understand some of the comments made. I am asking this for further clarification.

SOE?

Do you get a SOE on the 145 if you have an ATP MEL with Turbo Jet type ratings already on it?

It seems that a Supervised Operating Experience limitation would be covered by a Check Airman, Line Check Pilot, or Line Captain for a new FO with little to no jet experience.

I remember the 4 year waits on reserve as a FO at $14.00 an hour. That is while I was still flying 91K & 135.

SOE is for everyone even if you are already typed on the aircraft I am pretty sure. I would think of it more as a intro into flying our SOP's and in our system in a line flying setting.

Hi guys.

I'm looking heavily into applying for PDT and just had a question...

How much simulated / actual muti engine time is involved with the endorsement and check to line? I'm just short on Multi hours and will probably have to buy a few to apply, but I'm just wondering if they would entertain an application with anything less than 50, as 25 can be in a simulator.

40 is min program hours in the sim. 20 to the MV ride, 4 for the MV period and 16 LOFT prior to the LOE ride.
