It’s a little unfair to compare a section VI negotiation where the company has to bargain in good faith with the association until an agreement is made versus a mid-term negotiation where we basically are in a one and done situation.

Ultimately the pilot group, but its something we signed up for when loa 19 was agreed upon.

It’s also something we signed up for when we agreed to a contract with an amendable date of 2024.

We gave up some things in LOA 19 the newer folks may not realize. Insurance costs, vacation and sick time accruals, pay caps, etc. Hell when I started it was under 200 for insurance a month for wifey and I. Now it's like 340.

Maybe referring to the post 9/11 GI Bill cap that reduces the amount of money 141s can charge against it which was just put into law. That would put a financial squeeze on many likely candidates. That said I am sure some enterprising businesss man will get into the “loan” business to fill the gap if the airlines do not pick up anymore of the tab.

RTP was killed in order to fund the DEC “program” aka the huge bonus.

I know of a few people that lost hope when this TA was announced and are now leaving PDT..

Well, between attracting DECs or attracting rotor wing guys with 250 hours of fixed wing experience, I'd rather see DECs come on board. Thanks for the info.
