Fantastic news!! It’s already been grieved. Haha now maybe you’ll get even less communication! Good luck!

I haven’t tried to pick any up. If you cannot go into an overnight they will not assign 3x reserve day to you?

I'm not sure how many pilots are produced annually by all the civilian sources combined (Part 141, 91, ERAU, ATP, etc), but if they can't keep up with demand, scarcity plays to our advantage. That's where we might see faster movement to the majors and higher pay/QoL at the regional level, but that's purely speculation.

This shows about 12,000 commercial certs and 6,000 cfi original issuances. Obviously some people wouldn’t even consider flying for an airline, and who knows how many have more than 2 or 3 checkride failures and won’t get looked at by a major as soon.

And you will be flowing to a company that auto deducted $35 for that safety vest from a dca bus ca who served 30 years. They asked him for it back w ID and he laughed at them. Final check it was payroll deducted. I framed my final PDT check, it was for $6... 10 years and my last trip was teaching a sim till 1230 in IAH.. Classy!!

Wow! Things like this, plus QOL issues I’ve heard about at mainline make the flow a true last resort for me. I’ve applied elsewhere early, and update often.

Contracts and management change. Mandatory retirements on the other hand...

Really cause PDT pilots are pretty much screwed with the current contract till 2023 before they can even open discussions.....and management seems to keep just being replaced with the same type of people. Look at MK for a clear example.

Yeah look at MK. WTF!!! What was piedmont thinking when they let him be DO. He continues to be a bully and badger pilots. Piedmont wonders why they can’t get any new hires. All the potential candidates read all these forums now and clearly see that goin to piedmont is CLEARLY not the route to go. Dealing with management sucks. Piedmont is doomed and I’ll be surprised if they are still in business in a year. Then all of management will be standing in line looking for new jobs. Good luck with that.

That's a bit dramatic.
