Default Attrition/Flow

How many pilots does piedmont currently have on the seniority list? How many are lifers? How much outside attrition does piedmont have each month on average? How many pilots flow per month on average? Heard it’s around 7. Thanks

This info has been discussed in the last week or two if you were to read through the different threads. Looks like your looking at psa and envoy as well. You might consider reading the psa vs piedmont thread that just took place.

The top 30 individuals are lifers, give or take a couple. The flow is 6/month, however AA typically holds 11 classes a year, which equates to 66/year for flow. Seniority list has been shrinking. 770 pilots on list in Jan 19 to 705 Dec 19.

The seniority list in shrinking but I am fairly certain the percentage of line qualified pilots is considerably better. That being said it will catch up eventually and at this rate rather soon and we will be even less staffed than before unless something changes.

Agreed. I would even dare say that PDT is nearly there. Summer 2020 will be the breaking point for PDT. If PDT continues to only hire 6-12 pilots / month, between flow and general attrition and retirements there is no way possible PDT can cover the summer flying that AA gives PDT. The seniority list will have about 60-80 fewer pilots than last summer.

With the way PDT bidding and schedules are set up, PDT is enormously understaffed. Say hello to extensions and jr mans on every trip come summer to cover the flying of all the inefficient trip pairings.

AA holds about 22 classes a year. The flow agreement for Piedmont is on a monthly basis, with people being put in the class in the later half of the month

We had 500 line qualified pilots to bid for January schedules... feburary will be approximately 490.

We are starting to contract for line qualified pilots.
