Think of each wholly own as a franchise. Make no sense to join them together unless you like seeing sticks and stones flying.
Plus you have 3 different managements. And CEO's hate to cut managements jobs. Can you imagine being in a upper level position and had to join the 3 groups? If you were in charge you would have 3 times the amount of work. And for what? I doubt you would get paid anything additional. I guess my point is: Management hates work. They want their 10-3 m-f jobs. Anything additional is like working for free.

I dont know if you remember this, but Kirby stated when asked why not just merge psa and PDT: "We looked into that, and it would save about 2 million per year. Its not worth the hassle". I agree, if us and amr merge, we will all remain stand alone. Unless one is sold off ofcourse.

That will go out the window in this merger.

It may or may not happen. The only certainty is this guy is the last person you should listen to. He still thinks my name is "Joey".

If you would merge the three, PDT assets would not benefit any potential buyer. I'm not sure PSA would help this formula either. Cheaper to shut it down and sell the parts. If you look at them template of the other mergers they wouldn't need all this lift, so someone is going to take the fall.

Speculating on this is pointless. It's possible if there is a merger between AA and US Airways, some affected regional carriers might merge, but even so, seniority issues are impossible to predict with McCaskill-Bond. Additionally, Eagle has an arbitration award the provides 824 slots at AA that wouldn't be offered to any carrier that might merge with them.

If there is any merger with Eagle, it's not likely to be a turboprop operator with no fleet commonality, but that's just my opinion.

Yeah, I love how people who don't even work at Eagle feel so confident in making absolute statements about our company. They take crew room gossip and re-post it on internet forums without having any knowledge of what is actually taking place.
