I think they company can offer as high a bonous as they want for DEC's to apply.
The union has decided not to contest a new hire bonus as being compensated out side of the CBA for scoped work. They are ok with it because it helps staff and therefore helps them flow faster.

Well we are talking about 2 different things here. I am talking specifically about upgrade bonuses. The company going back to DECs is another problem altogether. It was a mistake last time and I think it will be this time as well.

I don't want it because that means CLT keeps gets smaller and smaller....

However, I've also heard AA doesn't like the fact PDT and us have outstation bases. So if PHL opens it could mean the end of CVG and/or TYS.
So are new hires still able to hold CLT relatively quick out of training?

Within 1 month, if not immediately.

Relatively quick...May 8th hires that wanted CLT will be moved there in October and November. Expect to do at least one or two months after IOE at another base. You might get it sooner, but it all depends on timing.

With all these new reserve lines and less Round 1 and 2 lines in CLT, we will need it. $250 won't go that far! (By the way, how long does it take to get that $250? Been over a month now and still waiting . . . )
