I was going to say something similar, only it was that this has never happened to me.

Given the SAP delay, will the Round 2 bidding still happen on time?
And what day of the month is the SAP scheduled to occur, or does it change month to month?

- Captain SAP normally opens 15th or 1700 for 24 hours
- FO SAP normally opens on the 16th at 1900 for 24 hours

yes, but my RLD starts tomorrow. As it turned out, the flight leaving DCA was delayed and I just ran to the gate and got the Jumpseat. But Crew Scheduling was not going to give my the deadhead (I would have timed out) tonight, and were not going to give it to me tomorrow, so I would have lost an RLD.

Because it only happened once to you it must not be a problem... (its a pretty well documented issue)
Also, I'm not wrapped around the axle about it. The point was that it devalues Round 1 and SAP if you can be pulled off at the company's whim, plain and simple.
The proposal I would make is that if you are pulled off your chosen line; for whatever reason you chose it, then you are for all intents and purposes you are being "junior manned" (yes, I know its not really "junior manning"...) then you should be paid as if you had been "junior manned"
Don't confuse a legit problem with some random whining. Just because it is not an issue for you does not mean it isn't for someone else. Walk a mile in another's shoes, judge not lest ye be judged and all that other jazz. I have no doubts that there is something you don't like about our contract.
Learn to recognize the difference between trying to make improvements to the playground for all and simply some bitter jack arse *****ing for *****ing sake.
Just look at the Quality of Life thread in the General section and compare our contract to others and tell me we are on equal ground. The SAP tailwind alone does not make up that much ground speed.
