Had the exact same thing happen to me. Scheduling was wrong to not give you a positive space ticket. A call to the CP fixed the issue for me.

It is your choice if you elect to take the ticket after you ran out of hours not theirs.

I forefitted my PS tickets according to scheduling when I picked up CLT open time and not DAY. They also said I HAD to have a trip over Memorial Day as R2 don't have holidays off. I didn't want to argue because they were giving me a BU and I had nothing to stand on.

I'm by no means an expert in bull excrement but that sounds like a load of bull shoot to me.

Round 2 or Build up lines are out. Myself and a classmate both just got a build up line, (DCA and DAY) for July. This is our fifth month. The lines aren't great, but at least its not reserve!

Now, can we trade or do any other type of schedule modification with a Round 2 line? Thanks!

In FLICA, click on "Awards". It is just above "schedules".

You can only trade BU lines one for one unless the reserve grid is green every day you'll be dropping. The reserve grid hasn't been green in DAY for a few months. This month only has maybe 3 or 4 days that are green.

There are two periods you can adjust your line: Senority Based and First Come, First Serve. Senority Based awards trades based on who had the highest senority for that selection at close. FCFS is who ever gets to it first and it's open the entire month.

As an example:

Line A: 1st to the 4th
Line B: 1st to the 4th
Line C: 3rd to the 7th

You want C so during SB you select to trade A for C. At the close, you notice that it says "DENIED: John Doe (27880)". That means John Doe selected the trip and is higher up the list than you. During FCFS if you select and your the first you'll be awarded the trip unless another type of denial code hits you.

Now let us say the reserve grid is ALL BLACK AND/OR RED from the 1st to the 4th, a.k.a "The Blend". You selected C for A as above. You'll get a denial code that states "DENIED: Reserve Grid for XXX 1, XXX 2 is not above min". That means the grid wasn't green, a net positive of reserves, for that day. Those days will need to be green or you'll have to select trip B as it's in the same footprint as your original awarded trip A.

Hope this helps.

Yes, that helps. Looks to me like there is no green for the whole month! I looked at some trips that were the same days as mine just to see if I could trade for some better commutable trips but looks like I will need to invoke the commuter clause and use the money for hotels a few nights. Still better than reserve!
Another question:
So if you have a Round 2 line can you trade with another pilot? Or just post a trip or two to give away if someone wants to pick it up?

You can use the trade board but your chances of success are minimal at best. I assume you're DC based. If you are, accept my apologies. Hotels will be anywhere from $100 to $800+ a night. Most are in the $160 to $250 range.
