Pbs will have winners and losers.
The losers may bolt
Depends how the details shake out, but currently psa has a caste system. Once you can sap, your life gets dramatically better. The effects of seniority are small within the SAP caste and the untouchables/reservistes
PBS is likely to introduce a more graduated system where Every number get you just a little bit better. The folks at the bottom of the SAP line will probably lose. They may leave.

A 4 hour minimum day guarantee would change things more than PBS. I went through everything in open time. The reason it's all there is because they can't build any 75+ hour lines. If we dumped the carve out and increased it to 4 hours, the value of those trips would change pretty significantly. You would be able to build lines in accordance with the contact. Throw in a couple of hybrid lines and straight drop for SAP, and our requirement for reserves would drop by about 50%.

Lots of possibilities. But the current system has very stark winners and losers. Some of those winners are going to lose if things change.

Let the company start their bid at 4:00 while we say 4:30 (or 4:45 or even 5:00) and maybe we land somewhere in the middle that works out to really increase QOL. If our average 4-day already beats 16hrs, which it does, a 4hr min day is not sufficient. If we got an average min day of 4:30 it works out closer to our current average value 4-day (18-19 hrs).
I'd certainly prefer a high value straight min day to an average min day, but given those 14hr 4-days we always see in open time a higher average min day would be more useful than a 4hr straight min day. At 4:30 you work 17 days max to make guarantee. We can live without rigs if we get the right min day value applied the right way.
Whatever we're negotiating (PBS or something else), we need to preserve the ability to go down to 65hrs and it would be great for QOL to extend that to pilots on reserve/hybrid lines.
What is it, something like 40% of our active pilots are on reserve? Proper reserve utilization and trip building could let us take 20-30% more block hours given sufficient amounts of aircraft and maintenance.

The carveouts are killer but even without them 4hrs is not the right number for us.

Simply getting PBS with SAP won't change what's left over for round 2. Therefore the number of reserves won't change.

I'll beat that drum until I die because I've not had anyone convince me otherwise that Trip and Duty Rigs > Min Day - buying into Min Day because then you'll make more vacation and sick day money is fool's gold.
