Default Junior Bases

I am planing to enter the cedet program this upcoming month. I am also trying to look forward to the future. I am curious on what the top 5 junior bases are? That way I might have a good idea where I might be placed. Thanks.

In my class that started in October of 2019, everyone got DCA,PHL, and ORF. That being said, the next round of bids, everyone was pretty much able to get what they wanted, including Charlotte.

I will be finishing my hours this year and PSA has been on my radar as a top company I would like to apply, and fly, for this year. Unfortunately I live 5 minutes from CVG and I hear that crew base is closing. How junior/senior is DAY and how hard would it be to get that either right out, or shortly after training? Thanks!

Right now it is going quite senior.

Default Applying

I noticed on the website it says not to apply until you have minimums, but on here it says to apply earlier. Is it still looking to be 3-5 months out to apply? I have a little over 1000, and am getting around 80 a month at my flight school. PSA is by far and away my first choice.

Apply today. Tell them that you are about 5-6 months away when they send you an email about your app. You will likely get the interview in the next few weeks.

Start preparing for your interview as well.

Thank you so much! I’ll update and get it set up. I have a friend there so got his advice on prep.

I have similar hours to the previous poster and applied a couple weeks ago, I go the automated email saying to expect an email from recruiting but haven’t heard anything. I’m assuming that is due to the holiday season? I applied via airlineapps if that makes a difference.

Default Clarify times please

I need 1250 for my restricted atp. Could I start at 1225 if hired since you get the 25 multi time/TT in the full sims? Also, do you have an easy way to determine the 75 hours of instrument time is valid when some of it comes from AATD, ATD, FTD etc. The reg is very confusing on which sims count toward your simulated instrument time. Thanks

Yes 1225 will work. Also for the sim instrument time the equipment has to have a letter of authorization from the FAA saying it’s suitable.
