I think they’re in the July 2014 hires. I was hired 5 months later in December, but I’m not projected to flow for another year in February 2021. If flow doesn’t change it will continue to climb. When I started we had 900 pilots. Now we’re almost to 2100 and we still only flow 10 per month.

hopefully. Keeping my fingers crossed.
a few months ago I was projected for April 2021. The last update shows me February now. I think outside flow attrition will pick up as the majors increase hiring. Orrrrr... there could be a flow increase. Hopefully both.

PSA Recruiting Recruiters
Received an email notification about PSA seeking Pilot Recruiters in CLT. I was tempted since I'm medically retired with 15K hours and CRJ time, I think I'd enjoy doing that job but since I receive a PBGC retirement from USAirways/American I can't work for AA or any wholly owned without my retirement being frozen. Had the same problem with Sim Instructing here in CLT. I didn't find out about the PBGC issue until I interviewed out in DFW for a CLT A320 sim job. PSA was also hiring Sim Instructors but oddly required previous Part 121 Sim Instructor experience when mainline did not.
As with the Sim PSA is asking for previous recruiter experience, however on other websites showing this job that isn't mentioned. Anyone interested should check it out, the job is listed on PSA's website.

I wouldn’t go that far. The management team has actually done a pretty decent job of tripling the size of the airline basically since I’ve been here. There’s a thousand things that had to happen behind the scenes to make that happen, and aside from some pretty public events (summer ‘18 comes to mind) it’s been a pretty good ride for those hired at the right time (like me).
The problem that the company refuses to address is that the daily scheduling, particularly reserve, is a huge dumpster fire on a regular basis, and that’s the filter through which 98% of the pilot group sees the company, especially reservists.
As a secondary effect, that also plays a role in the rank and file’s willingness to trust the union to negotiate something better, as the company is prone to come up with their own spur of the moment interpretations to make things happen for them, and we see little push back, or even communication from the union powers that be at the moment. I mean, is AB the new union spokesperson or what?
After a pretty decent start the new MEC Chair has pretty much adopted the same communication plan as the old one, and fired the old Grievance / Comm Chair with no explanation. That’ll get you some confidence among the pilots.....
