Maybe you haven’t read the union emails, LOAs, MOUs, or listened to the conference calls, but the only reason we’re talking about it is because everyone knows it’s coming. No avoiding it. And of course we won’t be voting it in for nothing. Luckily, it looks like we’ll finally have a say as a pilot group on whether its something we want.
Oh, I’ve listened. It’s coming and there’s no avoiding it. Yet, we get to vote for it. Then there is a way to avoid it. Don’t let the top 20% fool you and the folks who claim it was alright at their last company. Probably because they’re permanent reserve.

Whoa whoa whoa whoa...
speak for yerself

Call me skeptical but with the recent raises I'm not counting on a great offer to come packaged with PBS.
I'm not saying we should't fight for every last scrap from Longshank's table just trying not to set myself up to be disappointed.

Yet, when I heard folks say that. That also said make sure you have strong language that governs PBS. I am glad we will get to vote it it.

The rates aren’t much more than what they were before PSA accepted concessions to get another pilot groups planes; while everybody else was voting no to concessions.

Just about everyone from that time period is gone. Cant expect us to feel bad for something we had no part of.

Part of the reason ALPA wants it to go to a direct pilot vote is because it holds the companies’ feet to the fire to some extent. They know they have to make it a good deal or it simply won’t be voted in by the pilots. So it won’t be something for nothing by any means. I expect soft pay and other contractual improvements as well as an increase to our current flow agreement with AA.

I’ll agree PBS really only improves the schedules for the most senior. My guess is the top 20%. Everyone else will have similar or worse schedules even if “SAP” stays. I’d say the current line bidding with SAP is better for the pilot group as a whole. You make it sound like even if the company offered us $1,000 bucks an hour and flow at 100 pilots a month you don’t even want to discuss PBS. Obviously, those things will never happen, but I’m also sure the company will offer something that’s worthwhile even for junior folks or else their precious PBS won’t be voted in.
