But I think everyone is operating with a logical fallacy here that if you do great on the technical interview you will move forward to the next step. They may well have offered 100 technical interviews for 20 slots.

Yeah, I was definitely under that impression. It appears the captain review board is declining a lot of applicants now. I wonder if it has anything to do with the volume of applications, giving them the confidence to turn down anyone who doesn't blow their hair back.

My guess: they don’t get to be selective, they have to

Just because these people have previous 121/135 time doesn’t mean they are guaranteed a job. Did they have any deviations or checkrides ride failures? Are they even current / did they do well on the technical interview? 4 year degree? Was their personality good? Did they have an employee referral? A lot of other factors than just have flight hours.

of course they can be picky. Just having the minimums never guarantees you a job, welcome to the real world - regionals aren’t hiring you just because you have a pulse anymore.

I still haven’t heard anything back for a technical interview after my HR the 24th. Haven’t received a TBNT either.

Have you done the video screening interview?

Update: I did my technical interview Monday of this week. Tuesday I got the TBNT. I thought I knocked it out of the park... today I got a call saying the review board made a mistake and was offered a start date. May 24th.
