I love the crew meals! They are free! Seriously I dont understand why nobody likes them. In my opinion better than eating Burger King or Salsaritos everyday. The wrap is actually pretty good.
I am in CLT and have been moving pretty fast lately seems like alot of people moving on and or upgrading.
And for reserve being bad...yeah its bad, but this has been the easiest job I've had. Some people complain too much

Like I said I loved crew meals for first few months. Wonder how long you've been here Mx :P
Good luck on interview. Pretty straightforward interview. Most of the hiring board are good people. Relax and be yourself.
Except the top 80-100 people, most are looking to get out. 96% of the captains here are great guys and gals. Few negative people but I think every airline has at least a handful.

All is great when you sit reserve for less then a year... Things in charlotte will slow and dayton and knoxville will see movement.... We will see in two years and a lack of holidays off and no upgrade in sight if the poster feels the same....
Reserve when extremely overstaffed is cake.... Too bad some didn't experience a summer on reserve.... Then I doubt he'd feel that way....
dayton pilots on property over a year still have no line in sight.....
Tys has to be about the same..... Clt pilots have been lucky that captains leaving are clt based and lots of dayton and knoxville fos only want their current base for upgrade.... That won't last for forever either......

After this happens time and time again it wears on you. The honeymoon will end. It's just a matter of when.

You'll get tired of the constant changes to your schedule. And you might be like me and enjoy the spontaneous aspect of the job. Then it will get old. You will call your wife after not seeing her for 5 days and say your going to be home at 5 for dinner. Then Sherry will call from scheduling and say she has modified your trip. You have a 2 hour sit and then doing a XYZ round trip. Finishing at 10pm. You won't be able to make your commute home and will have to pay for a hotel or go to the crash pad. Either way your wife is ****ed. Your ****ed. Then you find out the reason you had to do the extra round trip is because the other crew member called out sick because he wanted to go home and have dinner with his wife.

Let me emphasize on the word NASTY.
Phl and Lga got good crew meals but we get it mostly in clt. Bad bad. We got same 50-60 destinations. Few new flying here and there. Started Omaha and des moine. Nice to have legs over 2 hours for a change. MLB, dab, Myr, srq, hpn, gpt are some of our better overnights. Everything else is blah

I think DCA crew meals are the best out of the hubs.

From: 7ER B...whatever that means.
Block or better, half DH pay. Full DH pay if you only DH that day. Jr man is 150% as well as open times. Hotels on sits over 5 hours. 12 hour ready rsv (FAs got it down to 8 which means we should too by next contract). Nasty crew meals that will go away as well.
Many CLT lines are commutable. DAY and TYS have more unfriendly early day one shows but you will hold a line a lot earlier. I remembered I was willing to do two leg commute because our rsv is horrible. We've been a little fat on FOs and many rsvs now have no idea what the rsv life has been in the past. Mainline was taking 4-5 guys a month past 3 months I think. Haven't heard lately if more people got hired.
