FWIW every Eagle captain Ive talked to has said dont come to Eagle. Don't ruin your career go find an upgrade and get out. I have talked to several of the 824 and none have said come on over and help us fight and maybe in 15 years you can have what we finally got.
Fisherman's assessment above is correct. Why do you think those Eagle pilots told you to stay away? Because the in house backstabbers have management buried so deeply in their rears that they will do whatever it takes to get more flying, at anyone's expense.

This behavior epitomizes the definition of the word BOTTOM FEEDER.

ExpressJet and Skywest have better work rules and pay than Eagle.
Compass has better pay than Eagle

In contrast, PSA pilots specifically voted in concessions to take airplanes that were intended for Eagle.
The planes were not intended for Eagle. Parker never promised Eagle anything. In Parker's world the planes go to the lowest bidder which is why Mesa is flying "PSA's 900's" from the last time aircraft were offered to PSA. They voted no then and Parker put the planes elsewhere, that's how he does business and PSA was too small to vote no again. The 47 planes Parker is moving from eagle to PSA would have been the entire PSA fleet had they voted no, but I guess everyone should give up there job and move to the bottom of the list elsewhere at year one FO pay to make life better at Eagle. If this can happen so quickly at eagle then how long would it have taken to shut down PSA or PDT. Only months and they would have been on the streets. And the Eagle guys want to talk about selfish. They chose to play cards and their MEC laid down a pair of twos while Parker was holding a royal flush. Accept it.

When did Eagle get offered 30 900'S?
PSA new hire pilots did not vote in concessions to take Eagle's flying.
Republic pilots voted for the contract they work under which took Eagles flying.
I don't think PSA should have taken concessions, and capped themselves, but I also dont think a new hire should go to Republic, Mesa, ExpressJet, SKW, Gojets, Eagle, Endeavor, TSA, AWAC, Great Lakes, PDT, Silver, or Commut Air, Cape Air, over PSA regardless of upgrades.
I forgot, Compass took flying intended for Mesaba, I guess all Mesaba guys hate Compass pilots now and the past was never forgotten. Where is Mesaba flow or 50% deadhead pay.

Exactly... For some reason all the PSA apologists seem to have a really difficult time grasping that concept!

None of those airlines are wholly ownes.
They do not operate under the same pressures. They have their own BOD that will not put them in the same position. And they have opportunities that are greater.

They are taking the minimum because they have to staff for the additional 900s. Are they supposed to hire everyone on property this year?

How would be the commute from Chicago to one of the PSA domiciles, especially DAY? Thanks.

From what I see from all the internet tough guys, it should be tougher than it could be because around half the flights are on Eagle. Since you're supposedly scum by wanting to go to PSA.

For real though, I would say any of the PSA bases from ORD wouldn't be too terrible. It's all 50 seaters, or for the most part to DAY and TYS. Airways has all mainline to CLT. But just be aware as the integration moves on, it will become full blown hub to hub, which can be difficult. I would say there is no such thing as a good or easy commute. Personally, I would pick the most junior base and then go with CLT as you get more senior. CLT-ORD has some flights that go very late, so that would be more beneficial to you on go home day.

What do you mean? Internet tough guy rhetoric goes beyond APC? The commute out of Chicago is tremendously easy to any PSA domicile. If you have any questions about it, PM me.
