Would that be for 200's timing out or just because they are trying to do away with the 200's?

I was under the impression the 50 seaters have found a new lease on life with airline management since gas prices have dropped. Gas prices are expected to stay low until next fall or so.

Pretty sure that PSA's 200s are apoken for through 2018 or something like that.

That said, consider that lots of Envoy 145s are probably going away, and Whisky's future in the New American isn't a done deal, and they're branching out into Delta flying.

Reading between the lines: I think PSA's 200s are safe for a while. I could easily be wrong though.

Seems a little early to announce the homes for those options. Current fleet re-arrangements goes to the end of 2016. A lot can and will happen in the next two years before they worry about placing the -900 options. However they could make a premature announcement as a recruiting tool if hiring slows down. But for now, the training department has their hands full with the planes that are scheduled to come.

There is no doubt that the training department could be better. The lack of standardization in some parts of training is certainly annoying, but as a whole, they do a good job. Considering they are pumping through 30+ new students every two weeks, it is running pretty efficiently and the pilots coming out on the other end of the training program are pretty good.

I would love to see some things standardized more, but the facilities and instructors are all pretty good. The knowledge base among the instructors is very impressive, and they all seem to really want to be there and to teach. The new IPT is nice, and will certainly benefit the students, as will the new iPads.

Thanks for the replies regarding the Alt DH. I had read the contract and I guess I just assumed you could ask them to provide a must ride from your home.

I aksed a couple pages back, but I guess it was lost in the ether; how long after being awarded a new domicile must the transfer occur?

Do they provide Jepp binders?

I understand they will send us home between indoc and sims, how much heads up will they provide before going to the sim?

Do we receive must ride to and from IOE, or just to?

Thanks

Yes, but they're cheap. I bought some used leather ones off eBay.

Everyone in my class knew their sim dates before leaving Dayton. Some had their orals the day after indoc, then right into sims, some had a week off before their oral, then a week and a half until sims.

Caveat: they made a huge production in class about bidding one's IPT slots via seniority, but oral dates and sims were entirely at the discretion of management. My partner and I had a 2200-0200 sim slot, and the most junior guys in the class were before us at 1800-2200.

I believe it's both, then post IOE they have to give you 4 "relocation days" off before you're considered in your domicile. I haven't gotten that far yet.
