Quote: You said it yourself, the seniority is everything and that's why most PSA and pdt pilots voted YES.

I still contend that the PSA and PDT votes harmed the positions of Envoy, Xjet, and RAH. Your point however is a valid one. Sadly management know this also. I think at the end of the day most of us ( myself included) are hostage to this fact when faced with a vote...

Quote: We are all fine people, not much different. We just like to keep fighting over a penny and management likes it.

I'm not sure we are actually fighting over pennies, but we will never know unless we can all find common ground. Regional pilot groups standing up for the other group instead of just their group is managements worst nightmare,

Management likes the seniority system because they can manipulate the labor force anyway they want to. I do not blame you to be mad, frustrated, but none of it should become too personal.

If you're alluding to flow, that's one big carrot that doesn't really pan out as promised. PSA and PDT will find out one way or another the same way Eagle/Envoy did.

I want to be clear, I have no problem with where people want to work at but just don't be a hypocrite. Ask yourself why you choose to work for republic at the first place, did republic have an average or leading industry contract when you choose to work there? If not, what give you the right to say " we got stabbed in the back? "

I was alluding to all the pilots in their 50's with 10 years of seniority or more and not wanting to go back to the bottom at another regional.

Quote: Yes, and they have a pilot group that is willing to standup for the contract they deserve which is why their contract is the worst. It is a 2003 contract that became amendable in 2007, and the pilots refuse to ratify a concessionary contract worth less than they deserve. THAT IS TRUE SACRIFICE. I wouldn't expect a PDT pilot to understand what a backbone is, or what it's like working under a HORRIBLE CBA holding the line against against a hostile management team. You guys caved for a meager pittance increase that you are now locked under for a decade.
You've already done the damage so just go home little boy and let the rest of us try to fix things.

Where was the backbone when everyone was running to fly at Republic? FO's leaving PDT to fly the E-Jet for half the paycheck. Did they have backbones to fly a 76 seat E-Jet for less money then they were making flying a 37 seat Turbo Prop. Really??? Boy that's a TRUE SACIFICE!!! All you guys were thinking about was flying a new shiny mainline plane. Hey I get it! The shiny big jet syndrome is tuff for anyone to avoid. But then you realized you have bills to pay and that shiny jet just doesn't seem so great anymore. Oh well you lost on your gamble.

And now you want to call out Piedmont for your problems at Republic? Hahahahahahaha You guys are the largest E-Jet operators in the world! Grow a pair and start flying safe...... Start making it hard to run the operation. Comair did it and got a new contract. ASA did it and got a new contact. I know it's tuff because you guys don't get paid for cx'ed flights. And everyone has bill to pay. But wait..... You knew that before you went there even with other carriers hiring that have better work rules.

No son..... You are the little boy that needs to go home.

The only people that have a dog in this fight and I'll listen to are the Envoy Pilots! Yes we voted this contract in. But until you know the history of our airline and have walked in our shoes you know nothing. Not a bunch of **** ants Republic people that went to a company that already had crappy work rules and awful insurance will ever ruin our day.

Get real!!!! And pray you can even get a contract close to what we have.

I can appreciate that fact but don't you think XJET, republic and especially Envoy has people in the same boat and they still voted no. It was about trying to hold the line and when one falls it's like dominoes...especially between the wholly owned.

I really don't want to go back and forth. I know to each their own but the vote had ramifications and some like to deny that while seemingly not understanding why other groups are so angry at them. What's done is done and I for one am tired of all the bickering, but don't act like all is good and no harm was done.

Who is stabbing Republic in the back? Republic stinks no one wants to work there not even the people working there. Their entire contract is a knife in every unions back that has never been pulled out. Every single FO commuter at Republic has no reason to be there whatsoever.
