FirstClass is currently going through the 5 stages of grief. Right now he/she is dealing with denial/isolation and anger.

No, but........

When PSA's critical language is being followed per the contract no other regional has anything even close to comparable. The money making and days off possibilities simply are not matched by other contracts in this sector. Period. End of discussion.

The very important CCP arbitration is scheduled for a couple weeks from now.

All this being said I'm not holding my breath on this arbitration. The company has hired some pretty expensive representation, and I expect them to cry that their model is financially unsustainable with CCP in effect as negotiated. Without the CCP language PSA's contract becomes pretty bad as far as overall compensation goes. If the SAP weren't there it'd be barely above GoJet and RAH.

Wait, so it isn't being followed. This is classic.

Compass critical pay is on top of guarantee and pay protected if cancelled or you call in sick for it. As long as it is on top of guarantee and protected in cancellation circumstances, that is as good as it gets.

No, it isn't. Sorry you just don't know what you are talking about.

I'm not going to explain it to you because I honestly don't care what you think.

Feel free to post a snarky reply now.

On top of guarantee is as good as it gets. So yes Compass and others have that. Since PSA isn't getting paid correctly for critical pay, it can only be worse at PSA.

You and FirstClass are both in the Denial phase of grief.

How do you get critical pay? Do you have to lose days off to get critical pay?

Are you talking about the company offering critical pay or junior manning and extension pay? Different things. No one is forced to work critical pay at Compass. And yes, you can get a day dropped pay protected if you hold out and ask for it.

Junior man pilots get 150% on top of guarantee and a day off pay protected if they are at min days off. Unfortunately that it is only 150% on top of guarantee for those over min days. Should be a pay protected day for everyone, but it's not. If that is what you are talking about, then that is junior manning rules, not critical pay. And there are other companies that get the comp day.

Critical Pay at PSA is flying picked up out of open time on days off paid at 150%. Since our SAP lets round 1 line holders drop down to 65 hours credit there were a lot of guys dropping flying out of their schedule then picking it back up at 150%. Or, just leaving it at 65 hours and having a ton of time off.

Junior man is paid at 175% with a 4 hour min, so any Junior man call is going to be 7 hours credit minimum. Get junior manned into a high speed and that's two days, so 14 hours min.

Junior man calls in some instances triggers automatic Critical Coverage, and the union has been doing a pretty good job of tracking the Junior man calls so that guys can get paid the critical coverage they mit have otherwise missed.

Nope, im asking about critical pay. If your company sets a day, or trip as critical do you need to lose a day off to get the critical pay. So if you trade a 4 day for a 4 day do you get critical pay?

PSA isn't the only company that pays 150% for OT.
