Say you live in base and get your schedule you want as an f/o.
Or...

Upgrade, then commute for reserve, 11 days off max, no weekends, and same pay after you factor in per diem etc...

We have people getting hired at the majors with 10 hrs PIC all the way up to 8000.
There is no magic mainline job at 1000pic. It's back to who you know and...

It's only going to get better for pilots. Had a buddy forward the hiring info for SWA last night. ~500 for next year and 2 classes a month from here out.

1000 SIC will do.

My friends that received offers both had 8000+ Total time and one was typed in the CL65. Both had 4000+ 121 time. They were also local or very close to the base they wanted.

Thank you guys for the info... I was asking cuz one of my buddies got rejected (maybe about 3500TT and 2500SIC) so i was just curious. Also, hard to predict these things but how long do you think the DEC position will be available for?? Thanks for your help.
