I would think they'll stop pretty soon. They are already doing everything they can to limit the total number of DEC's, and as each month passes more and more FO's are getting their 1000 hours.

With all the guys leaving PSA and moving on I'd bet the DEC will continue. Plus new RJ's showing up every month. Word is they have ~70 in the DEC pool right now, you're pulled on how you score during the interview. Problem is when others out score you your stay in the pool may be a long one. My friend interviewed and a few weeks ago and was just offered a class. He must have scored very high to get into class over the other 70. I guess only time will tell.

There is more to getting the job than just hour requirements. No offense to your buddy but did he think the interview went well?

Word on the street is the dec pool is dwindling. Although the last 3 captain bids over the last 30 days or so went senior.

What domicile are the DEC going to? Is CLT the junior base over there?

No Charlotte is the senior base. The most junior CLT captain is a December hire.

My buddy didn't even get to interview. They just rejected his app with a thanks but no thanks email. why are the FOs with the 1000 SIC not upgrading?

Super EZ E 08-07-2015 09:27 PM

Not sure if you guys know but with the majors hiring at the current pace don't bet the upgrades will slow down anytime soon. DAL is hiring 1100 a year for the next 4 years, UAL is the same, SWA just came out with 500 to 600 for next year, AA has it's TWA/Eagle guys till the end of the year and they'll start to suck guys in but at a much slower rate. Toss in Spirit and JB and we've got a real shortage. NJ and Flex are hiring! Where are all the guys going to come from?

I'd bet your correct!!!! My understand is Dayton is the junior base but don't take my word.

I heard it's 1100 a year for the next 10 years!
