So what was the joke? You didn't make it? Any idea on what they knocked you on? Also what were your times like?

dont feel bad, the other 4 probably didn't get it either. They don't waste time on the sim to those they don't like.

I second the wish for the best of luck in the future.

But for right now, your qualifications as stated here will put you (and others in the same boat) well behind when going through 170 training.

You need to concentrate on multi-engine jet experience in an airline type environment. The 170 training program is not pilot training...we expect folks to come to us with a good grounding in the basics.

Of course, we don't always get that. Of those folks, some make it, some don't. Of those that do, attitude is foremost. We can teach folks if they are willing to put out the effort...even in the super concentrated syllabus that we have to live with.

They don't tell you if you "pass" or "fail" anything. They just kinda take the written and walk away. As far as "not wasting the sim if they don't like you"...come on now. At the interview, you go through the sim BEFORE the face-to-face. They would have no idea if they "liked you or not" cuz they haven't even TALKED to you yet. Although I am surprised they didn't make you do it being a CFI. When I interviewed, only prior 121 guys didn't have to do the sim.

A few questions for you CHQ guys...any chance for STL right out of training?
I'm also assuming that w/the 200 and 145 signing bonus (or IOE completion bonus), if you come in w/the qualifications, thats the plane you will be put on? Is the 1000 a hard number, or with prior time in type will they waive it? Just trying to figure out if I should apply now or wait til 1000. I have 825 total, 275 multi, and 205 in the 145. Help me out, I'm looking to escape the clutches of uncle hulas...
