Just got the call... It took them 8 days to call me back. I was cooking an egg sandwich when they called. Quite shocking!!! I thought the interview and sim went O.K., but it went pretty well for everybody. Anyways, I start on the 21st.

Hey everybody. Just got home from the interviews yesterday. The written test and oral interview went great. The sim was so-so. I had a difficult time at first getting used to the airplane, blew through my altitude, had trouble feeling out the trim, but after a bit I got a handle on it better. When given the hold, I gave the correct entry, and my ILS was fairly good, it was not perfect, liitle high on glide slope, but good on localizer.

Do any PSA people here think I did OK enough to pass and get the offer? I know it's hard to tell without being there, but just looking for opinions. Thanks everyone.

It's easy to blow through your altitude when the altimiter reads in increments of 100 ft. I as well, was high on my glide slope. Sounds like you did O.K. on the sim, but there's more to it than just the sim. What exactly? I don't know. I thought there was some squared away guys at my interview that didn't get the job. I understand what you're going through right now, I just went through it for 8 long days. Some other people got the call within a couple days. Try not to over analyze things, it will eat you alive. Relax, grab a cold one...Whatever happens, happens. Best of luck to you.

All depends on who your sim examiner was. But in general they know you will not do a terrific job, it would be foolish of anyone to expect that. They want to just see that you correct your mistakes ...........did you blow through your altitude by more than a 1000ft? if so that may be a different story. Otherwise if you were climbing and started to level off at 10k and you hit 10.4k but made an adjustment to get back down immediatly, then you may be ok. You have to understand that the guy who was testing you may end up being one of your sim instructors and wants to see that you are trainable and that if he gets you as a student that he won't have to keep going over things many times.
Also the HR part is a big thing also, that only you know how you did.
If you feel relatively good about the experience, then you probably got it. If you are down about it, then you may not have. But that works on all interviews. Good Luck!

Come to the interview with the right attitude and don't blame the sim for poor performance. If you make a mistake blow it off and try your hardest to correct it. Also don't get hung up on whats already done, stay in the game.

I talked with the chief pilot the other day and they are going to change the sim ride into a 737, more realistic, the CRJ sim is very fast and sensitive.

Remember you attitude says alot, if your low time act low time with the willingness to learn. Myself and the sim instuctors were there once and we want you to succeed. Good Luck!

Hey two dot, did you get the job?
