New AWAC Mins
#51
Yea... I've been w/ AWAC for about a year now... AWAC is definitely a more HR oriented interview. At least it was for me. No technical questions at all. I can't really promise that now though. Usually, they are just looking to make sure you are a person that can get along with a crew for 4 day trips and not cause problems... That's about the jest of it. Good luck.

Korean!DR thanks for the info! Thats what I have heard as well. Where are you based? Do you commute? I am living in BOS and plan on tryin to get PHL or DCA as it is a 1 leg commute. I know for reserve and stuff that I will need to prob live at my crash pad, overall how do you like it? is this your first regional? Sorry for all the questions, I am just very interested in them and want to gather as much info as possible.

BOS-DCA would be a piece of cake with the Airways and Delta Shuttles. I think a nice crashpad in Crystal City that is a 15 minute walk or one stop on the Metro away will run you $205-235 bucks/mo. Not cheap mind you, but not bad given the location...

I live in the DC Metro area, so my QOL is pretty good. I was based in ORF out of training for two months, went to PHL for commutability and to hold a line, and bid DCA last fall when my wife and I moved out this way. Unless I get a dream job back in the midwest and leave AWAC, they'll have to pry DCA from my cold, dead hands at this point. Good crews, great controllers, great scenery, schedules that mostly avoid PHL - all win/win!
