I am 21 at a regional wanting to upgrade the captain or make the jump as quickly as I can. Sadly I rushed through my ratings and got my hours and experience instructing and decided I couldn't handle Instructing 6 days a week as well as keep up with my degree. I am in a pickle now as while yes I got in young I don't have the intangibles to stick out to any of the majors. If I could go back and do it again I probably would've gotten the degree and been okay with not getting to the regionals a couple years later.

You have your age as an advantage. Lots of online universities out there will give you a good amount of credit for your experience and ratings earned. If you put your nose to the grindstone, you can knock out a bachelor's in as little as 2-3 years, if not less.

I got hired at right as I turned 21 as well. I too took the fast track and did not get my degree but I知 doing now online at ERAU, over paying forsure but the ease of it is worth the piece. I知 23 now and a captain and almost done with. I started it at 22 wish I would of started when I got off FO IOE. I would start it now and you値l be in a prime position to get sucked up quick.
Cheers

Yeah just started online for my bachelors with Liberty and they credited just a little over 60 credits. Like y'all said put the nose to the grindstone and get it done. Cheers!

I have a Bachelors (Business) and an MBA. Flying is not my first career.
