The fact that we are making a little more than 1999 wages in 2019 is contradictory to your point. Someone called you elitist, I might use another word.

Geez, it was just a thought. I’d say there’s some pent up anger around here, you guys need to get out more.

The comment was not specifically for regionals but the profession as a whole. I’m a newbie and even at the Regional level the guys we have representing us now are a lot smarter than I am. I’m suggesting we would be in a more disadvantageous position down the road if a large percentage of pilots only had technical training.

You don’t negotiate against management, you negotiate against the union-busting law firms they retain. Therefore your negotiators need to be very sharp if a few part-time volunteers are going to succeed against full-time professionals who live and breath victories over labor.

There should only be TA for STEM programs, and that should not be on the taxpayer.

Also, the fact that supply and demand is not a consideration in tuition is a reason it’s so expensive. Without aid it would be more affected by the free market and be more affordable.

That's true, so far no matter what they charge, the system keeps raining mana from the sky to keep filling their coffers.
