The “vast” public doesn’t even know any of that. Nice try though.

I'm not sure what public you are exposed to, but all the public that I am certainly does think that. To them there is zero difference from this lowly Regional pilot and the CA of a Delta A350.

This isn't 2002-2011 anymore when regional guys are making 15-20k a year. An entry-level regional pilot is making 55-60k a year, which is more than the average US income of 48k a year. The vast vast vast majority of the public thinks we are extremely overpaid, severely underworked, and whiny about only getting 15-16 days off a month. Being a cheap mofo only enforces this stereotype, which is unfair, but gets perpetuated by guys such as yourself. Open up your wallet. |
Face it, failure to tip a van driver is just plain being cheap.

Not really. Based on that logic failing to tip the hotel front desk clerk is cheap also. Or the gate agent who scans you down the jet bridge, I mean you make more than her/him. Stop being so cheap!
The van driver does more than their actual minimal job requirements. Their job does not require them to lift your bag (I get it, most of us would just as soon do it ourselves), but it also doesn't actually require them to be prompt or otherwise expeditious for us to get to the hotel either. All their job requires is for them to go back to forth. Your tip is what encourages them to either be there when you arrive or get there as soon as they can once you do. You can also make all the excuses you want, but it doesn't change how you are viewed when you stiff the van driver. |

This role responds to all guest requests for shuttle service in a prompt and courteous manner and assists guests with luggage while boarding and off-loading the vehicle. https://www.simplyhired.com/search?q...shuttle+driver |

It s at least equally hard to believe you and the other anti tippers are serious too.
REALLY? Your arguments are childish at best. America is the only country in the world with this “expect a tip” culture. |
