Good man! Feel free to tip $20.
You’re making double of what your FO is making and 5-10 times what your FA’s are making.
Bet you still tip a dollar?
Since it’s “customary”?

Both pilot seats make the same rate in per diem at my shop. I dont know about the FAs since I dont have access to their contract.

What does Per Diem have to do with anything?
I’m making half a million dollars but let me point out we have the same Per Diem?

so because I make more I’m supposed to tip more? I don’t think so. I’ve always done 1 dollar for airport hotels and 2 for longer trips ever since my first regional all the way to now at a major. Same as when I go to a restaurant, I don’t all of a sudden tip 50% now that I’m making more money. If a flight attendant doesn’t want to tip because she isn’t in a financial place to afford to, then that’s her business.

We get per diem to cover such expenses.

per diem is to cover expenses that the company is not required to provide. Ground transportation is required to be provided by the company.

60+ pages of trash in. Has anyone changed anyone else’s opinion on the topic? No? Didn’t think so. Have fun girls!

I used to, then I started tipping 2 or 3. I think it used to be customary to tip a buck a bag they’ve handled. I’ve tipped a $20 for both of us before. It was a holiday and the driver went out of his way to help us find food.

We usually don’t stay with our flight attendants so I don’t have the opportunity to “help them” but they usually always tip from what I’ve seen. It’s usually the pilots who have some anti-tipping agenda. But you do you. It’s apparent you’ve never worked in a restaurant or any other jobs where tips are your primary income. I’m sure you’re the type to blame the server for your food not being cooked right or the van driver personally for being late.

Except Van drivers tips aren’t their primary income unlike wait staff, hosts, bussers, and bartenders.
