They make enough green lines to fill the need. There is no set number as far as I am aware...so therefore it would just add to the number of lines available at the base.

I’m in the -200 class right now and the TownPlace is nice! Wal-Mart, Kohl’s, and Rainbow (grocery) are all about a half to a mile away. Chili’s (restaurant) and a gas station are right next door and several restaurants and fast food joints are within a mile walking distance. Now walking distance is a loose term here the forecast is -10F low and 4F high this weekend and not much improvement in the beginning of next week. High speed wired free internet in all rooms some rooms I think have they wireless but many including this room do not.
As always a car is very nice to have but this place is not isolated like the Homestead. Full kitchen oven stove microwave and fridge amongst other kitchen stuff.
PM me if you want to know more or any one else with questions.

Don't try to cook bacon on that stove. All that fan above the stove does is blow the smoke right back into your face. I set the fire alarm off my first Saturday there and they had to evacuate the entire building around 8am. The chief fireman personally visited me in my room and said, "First time cooking?" I replied, "Last time trying to cook bacon."

To answer the question further, say for March there are 15 green lines and only 10 green FOs.... there will be 5 left over green lines that can be awarded to non-green pilots. Which ones will be available all depends on whether or not all of the green pilots actually submit a bid. (if they all bid for the last 10, the first 5 will be available; if none of them bid, it'll be the last 5 that are left over). They seem to be good at designating the right number of green lines, the only thing I can think of that would screw it up is if someone didn't pass IOE by the time they needed to for that bid.

That is my understanding, anyways.

A few months ago when it mattered for my bidding, I'd always throw some green lines that I would've liked onto my bid in the chance that they wouldn't get awarded. (just make sure you bid on enough non-green lines to CYA!)

Ha! I'm a little late to the punch. I just got my power back a few hours ago. I live in Memphis off of Lamar Ave., a little South of Winchester Rd. I was way too close to those tornados for comfort. I was actually sitting on the floor of my bathroom with a flashlight for about 30 minutes that night. When I went outside there were trees and powerlines down all around my house. The big one that destroyed Hickory Ridge Mall missed my house by about half a mile.

That's my second close encounter with a tonado in the past few years. My avatar is an actual photo I took in Denver about a year ago. The United is not photoshop-ed in.

Good luck to all you guys starting classes at Mesaba. I had class dates at a few airlines and ultimately chose Mesaba. No regrets so far. Everybody I've flown with and trained with have been awesome.

That seems to be a trend with Mesaba trainees. For us, it was a flaming t-bone that prompted the evac.
