Most new hires and upgrades will go to the CRJ's now since the saab is pretty well staffed.

either the Extended Stay America in Eagan or the Marriott (believe that is correct for the other hotel). That is on the 12/28 class.

You guys are lucky if they quit using the Homestead. That place is a first class dump.

Its funny that you say that. I just interviewed for Mesaba yesterday the 27th and stayed in that EXACT hotel. It wasnt that bad, but also wasnt the greatest.

I think the interview went pretty well. It was just me and one another guy there so, we'll see what happends.........

It's too bad that being on the Saab you didn't get to see the hotel we stayed at in Montreal for sim training on the 900 (La Tour Belvedere). It was terrible. I had a pipe explode and flood my room, a funky mystery smell for all three weeks, the coffee provided in the room is only as a "greeting" (they won't restock it after your first night), breakfast in the morning requires a ticket from the front desk and costs $7.00 (even just coffee isn't free), the internet provided is almost as fast as a 28.8 BPS modem, the paint on the walls is chipping off, the maid service is substandard, and the carpet is pulling up and buckled in most rooms. In fact, in my room because of a reoccuring leak, the carpet in my closet was covered in mildew. But, my favorite gripe about that place was that they had covered the cheap window-mounted air conditioners with clear plastic to keep the wind from blowing through the unit. So, all night you get to hear the plastic inflate and deflate like a balloon any time the wind blows outside. Just hope that the plastic doesn't have a hole in it, or you get to hear it whistle all night too. We stayed at the Staybridge Suites in Eagan during initial training, which was really nice. But, while the sim training at Bombardier is far superior to most other stuff out there, Mesaba's accomodations in Montreal are terrible. The only benefit was that the hotel is right in the middle of downtown and only one block over from Rue-St. Catherine (where all the good stuff is).

That's pretty much how the rest of your career at XJ will go. You'll stay at a few nice joints, and a then a few where you'll want to take two showers after you leave. We used to stay at a couple hotels that had known bed bug infestations (yes, bed bugs are real)... not fun.

St. Catherines street!! That was my old high school and college playground man! Keep an eye out for concert listings at the metropolis and the spectrum. Some of the best concerts I've ever seen were at those venues.

There are also some great clubs there (but there are some real crappy ones too) if you're into the whole meat market thing... French Canadian girls are so hot...

I interview on the 8th of January. I was supposed to meet up with friend of a friend who is in training to discuss the interview, but he is proving difficult to get a hold of (plus I don't even know the guy.) Any suggestions other than read the gouge? Any information would be great. THanks.

The gouge will tell you anything and everything you will need to know, don't sweat it. Just be honest and be yourself.
