Thanx guys, I do appreciate the info. I like mesaba and can not wait to start in Feb. I am just hoping that once they start getting more ex- pinch nickel bireds that things will shape out and will get back to normal. Guys fly safe and will prolly ask more questions later on down the road.

You're right about that. Half of my October 22nd class (including me) have just completed SIM/checkride in the -200 and we're off for the holidays. We were told to expect 3-4 weeks before IOE. There are 4 -200's on site as of now with #5 coming around 1/15 and #6 coming around 1/24.

Reserve time is really up in the air, but I was told that it would be next to nothing.

Sheesh, unrelated note here....but, Northwest lost all three of my checked bags when I went to Denver 3 weeks ago. They showed up on a later flight because one of the handlers completed missed loading a cart (around 47 pieces). On my way back to Minny, they lost my Purdy Neat bag ($400) and it contained most of my Bombardier (systems) and my Airport Directory. It's been 3 days now and I was informed that the NW claim will only cover $150 worth of losses. I'm sure I can get Mesaba to replace the manuals, but the bag is another story. I had no choice but to check it. I never thought I'd get struck by lightning twice on the same trip. Jeez. Now, I'm awaiting IOE for the next 3-4 weeks, but the wait period to be reimbursed by Northwest exceeds 30 days. I ordered a new bag anyways...not happy.

Atleast I got my type rating....best Xmas gift to date. Merry Xmas everyone.

Oh wow 2 guys in my class lost their bags on the way to Montreal and had to call the chief pilot to get it back. Granted we had some plane issues and had to be rebooked but it took them about 3 days as well. I have to head back for the rest of the sim and am hesitant to check anything.

Default Jan. 14 class

I'm in the Jan. 14th class. Got hired the end of November. Currently at close to 1000 total and just under 20 multi. Has anyone else here in this class received any packet of information? I thought they had said I would get something around the 18th of December but I have not gotten anything yet. Still not sure what I will be in. What kind of clothes do I need for training?

I've been waiting for months to register to be able to post here.

First day of class is suite and tie then each other class is "buisness casual".

I am in that class too and have not heard anything. I live locally so I called mesaba to see if I could come in and pick up the information and such. She said the traning dept was on vacation and wouldn't have my stuff ready to pick up so they will mail it out 2 weeks prior to class.

Your hours are very competitive. Give them a few more days as the Holiday season is here. If you have not heard back by first week of January, Call Steve Taylor.

Those are very good hours. Just be yourself at the interview, and you should get the job. You are most likely to get the CRJ900, unless you want to be the Saab Street Captain. Welcome aboard.
