I don't think you'll have to sit reserve very long, if at all depending on how training works out for you. Especially as the flow-through kicks in, there will continue to be plenty of movement in the 200 ranks. That being said, there are a lot of XJ guys/gals who have a 2nd non-aviation job... not a bad idea. Min FO pay is rough... we've all been there. Good luck!

When do your mailboxes get moved from the training center to the crew room at your assigned domicile?

Depends on your base. Some of the assistants are better about this than others. It should be done before you actually get to your base though. Just ask your base manager/CP assistant about it if you've been waiting more than a week. Chances are it's sitting in a stack of other people's mailboxes waiting to be filed.

Just noticed your avatar said CRJ. In MSP, Brendon is the guy you want to talk to about this.

In general, if you see red, you should call scheduling to inquire about it. Mesaba does not give us the right click "view comments" option that is available so we have no way to see the comments associated with the alert. Red is associated with things that would make you not avialable for duty such as, TVL - travelling to class, moving days etc, ADM - working in the office, UNM - out on disability, etc. You will see red as well for potential rest violations, duty time limits, flight time limits, training due, medical due, etc.

Hey guys I just got my FOM in the mail today. Just wondering if I was also supposed to receive my flight info or does it come closer to the date I leave for training.

Your flight info will be e-mailed to you at a later date. I would guess within a week or two.
