My understanding is they have stop hiring into the Saab. We are still hella fat on Saab crews.

P.S. Wow this is my 700th post!

Default Parking??

I saw a memo on the crew room door saying we are suppose to park back in the humphrey ramp starting Friday. Were can I find the parking info for which levels and specific rows we are suppose to park in? I thought we could park anywere in the ramp that was open, but I guess not. That sure adds a ton of time to get to the terminal, especially if you just miss the train lol!

If you keep looking there is a sign that states where we can park in the humprey terminal. I saw it, just can't remember where. I would expect that we would be getting a memo sometime before the 11th as well... but who knows...

Default Open time/out-of-base reserve

If you are sitting reserve at a base where there's no flying, does it make sense to request out-of-base reserve to a base where there is open time in order to maximize/enhance your chances of getting a few turns? DTW - no flying, MSP - several lines of open time.
I realize if you request, you have to pay for hotel, no car, etc... but what about the flying part?

Just park in the General Parking section, not short term. And you cannot park in the A or B rows (the closest ones to the elevator). Everything else is fair game!

Not a Mesaba pilot but even if you sit reserve at a different base it does not guarantee that you will get it and if they are desperate the will DH to the other base if they need you. I figure as a reserve pilot you will probably never break guarentee so you will be flying for free in a way
