You do not need your Jepps at training in Denver (-200/-900). You can bring them if they make you feel comfortable, but you'll be given (yet another) red binder which contains all the WOB and charts you'll be using in the SIM. They are 8x11 size too, so its much easier to read inside; albeit they get in the way more.
I'm as guilty as anyone for bringing too much stuff with me on trips/training.
Another suggestion is to call the training department and see if they have any advice for you on what to take.

Does any one know of the training contract? They told me when I was hired there was not one. In our ALPA contract it says 15,000 in the first year pro rated. I had not heard about it from anyone else or seen it in any paperwork I have been given. Just curious

The contract gives them the option to impose a training contract but there is not one for FO newhires....
I think there was a training contract imposed on the street captains though.

Hey Brian, my buddy is on reserve in MEM and said that he's been doing quite a bit of flying so hopefully you (we) will get to do some flying. Have you dont your PC yet?

Looks like Vacancy 08-10 came out today. Saab first officer freezes released again thus allowing Saab first officers to bid for the 12 CRJ 900 first officer positions.
